Choose one reading from Daniel Halpern’s The Art of the Story that we did not cover during this course. Analyze a character, symbol, or other aspect of the reading. What idea or point of view is the author expressing? Make specific references to the reading in your analysis. Once you have done this, I want you to respond to the work. Where do you stand on this view and why? If you choose to summarize the reading only do so in 5 sentences or less. I do not need a works cited page. Your paper should include an introduction with an argumentative thesis. I also want paragraphs with strong topic sentences and finally a conclusion. The following rules will help guide your writing:
